Ukraine is a country with a wide range of opportunities for Dutch companies, but also with its own challenges. The main challenges for foreign companies lie in the legal framework, including customs, taxes and accounting. For this reason, tax and legal advice plays an important role.
Frequently changing legal regulations, which sometimes come as a surprise to a foreign observer, as well as problems with the implementation and application of applicable legal regulations pose significant challenges for doing buiness in Ukraine.
Despite the introduction of the new tax code in 2011, the intended significant simplification did not materialize. Tax and accounting matters continue to occupy a large and important place in everyday professional life.
In most projects, it is crucial for success that you get good advice beforehand and do not only find out about the current legal situation when the conflict becomes apparent.
The Tax & Legal Committee at the NUCC is a platform for exchanging experiences on business law and tax issues. Among other things, it is also about discussing current legislative projects and judicial practice, informing about new developments in the legal field by events or publications and exchanging suggestions for improving the legal framework.
The focus is on the relationship to Dutch-Ukrainian economic cooperation.
